The Sum of Stuff: Reba edition

A couple of years ago I did this for Elsie when Elsie found her new home, so it is only fair that I do the same for Reba now that she has headed off into the sunset. Nope - I"m not like some folks who rank their love of their horses based off of what they have won for them. Truly I wouldn't even keep track of it except we have had people ask about our sale ponies wanting to know what they have won as a criteria for purchasing. I think anyone that follows Berry Sweet Acres knows that our goal is to raise up a horse/pony, train it to be a solid citizen and then find it the very best home. With that being the end goal, I started keeping track of "earnings" for our show ponies.
In the two years that I rode Reba she collected a truck full of awards for Berry Sweet Acres. I could share her two year old in hand story as well, but that is Sophie's story to share. As far as cash earnings go, we didn't show many classes her first year to earn a lot of cash, but by the end of last year she had earned $3873.90 (in 2024 alone).
As far as stuff goes, over the course of our 2 year journey she collected....
15 buckles total
2 chain/keychain trays
4 plaques
2 cowhide coat hooks
cowhide box
2 horse coolers
4 Congress Champion trophies
8 other trophies
Congress High point chair
8 neck ribbons: 12 blue/6 red
3 bridle bags
1 large bag chair high point
1 hay net
1 Knotty Girlz rope
5 big checks
1 buckle stand
5 stall front bags
vacuum
Cutting board and coasters
side table
Hay bale bag
Tail bag
Rack for hanging blankets
Collapsible bucket
English bridle
D ring snaffle
Puffy vest
blanket
computer bag
So for the people who once told me that she wasn't worth much yet because she hadn't won enough stuff/money; I hope this is enough for you. All that matters to us is that the very best home thought she was enough even without getting the full list. We are super excited for Reba to move on to the next stage in her performance career. They are going to be a team to contend with in the future and I can't wait to be cheering them on.
Reba, thanks for the ride, the lessons and of course, the stuff. he he I don't know what I will do without my silly red mare this year but new challenges await Nani and I. Go be amazing!
